FOR PARENT GROUPS & ORGS

It’s never too early to build a plan to address screentime

According to a 2017 survey released by AVG Technologies, children under five are more likely to know how to navigate a smartphone than tie their own shoes!

While Emily is not anti-technology, it’s vital that parents in the digital age understand the risks and impacts of allowing access to technology, especially to infants and young children.

Join Emily on her mission to help parents embrace a Tech-Intentional™ approach that promotes healthy mental, physical, cognitive, and emotional development-- for everyone in the family!

A Solution for Any Budget

Quarterly Community Talks

Are you part of an organization, group, or school with a very limited budget? Community Talks are research-based lessons on developing a Tech-Intentional™ approach to screentime.

Note: These talks do not include surveys or community-specific content to keep the price point accessible.

Virtual Presentations

Virtual presentations include a focus group session for community-specific content and provide a more accessible price point for schools with limited budgets.

In-Person Presentations

Emily starts each in-person engagement with a survey. Then she caters the presentation(s) to faculty, parents, and students to reflect these unique insights about your community’s screen use and provides tailored recommendations.

Why work with Emily?

My mission is to empower parents to better understand and balance family screentime by building a Tech-Intentional™ movement.

Relationships

Before we can change anything else, we have to start with relationships. Relationships before screens, always.

Research

There is a lot of tech-funded "research" about the benefits of technology. My recommendations are rooted in the science of childhood development from independent researchers.

Balance

It’s not practical to ban technology. It is critical to find a sustainable balance that keeps our children safe and reinforces our core values.

Courage

I believe deeply in what I teach. It's why I am not afraid to speak up and fight for what is best for children, not companies.
